Within the framework of the next-generation broadcasting standard BT.2020, which was determined based on psychophysical experiments on the visual and video industries, we are working with specialists who explore the relationship between psychophysics and physiology and the video experience to realize highly realistic video production.
Project Overview
BT.2020 is an international standard based on Super Hi-Vision parameters derived from research conducted by the NHK Research Institute of Broadcasting Technology (NHK Giken) into the psychophysical effects of vision and images, and is the basis for the creation of BT.2020.
The issues surrounding human perception and visual experience are extremely complex and intractable, and there are many unanswered questions. On the other hand, under certain conditions, specific numerical values for resolution, brightness, presence, realism, etc., are becoming clearer and clearer, resulting in a viewing experience that is almost unrealistic.
In order to create high-reality images, filmmakers also need to have knowledge and understanding of the human perception system. Logoscope works with specialists who explore the relationship between psychophysics and physiology and the video experience to achieve highly realistic video production.
It creates a foundation for the expression of films in virtual reality while exploring the basic techniques and visual effects required for first-person storytelling.
